Church Partnership

Providing Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Family Resources to Your Community

Supporting your community is a top priority. It is impossible to be all things to all people and have the training necessary to handle every situation that your families are facing.

Finally Home is the go-to resource for foster, kinship, and adoptive families across the nation to get support so kids can heal and families can thrive.

We have crafted a partnership specifically with church leaders in mind. This allows you to share the benefits of our programs and resources with your members, without the cost and expertise required to execute those programs. You’ll be giving foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers the resources they need to support their children in healing from the traumas they have experienced.

There are four different options you can choose from, each with a varying level of support. More information about each of the elements is located below the grid. If you have questions or need help in understanding which level is right for you, please email Mark Orphan, Finally Home’s Executive Director.

I absolutely love Resilient Roots because it’s instant support. Families don’t have to wait for training to come around. They can get on the website and access trainings immediately. We’ve shared with all of our foster and adoptive church families that we’ll pay for them to have a Resilient membership. Families can go to the site and find out what topic is most relevant to them at that moment, listen to it at their own pace, and what get what they need. I like that they don’t have to wait for an in-person event. They can listen and find even one nugget that they need that day, and then go back when they need to listen to something else, when need to refresh their memory and be encouraged. Because when we’re in the moment of crisis, we forget logical thinking. We just do. Our brain cells are scrambled and we’re not thinking clearly. Resilient Roots gives families instant access to the information they need, which is vital to their success as an individual, as a parent, and for their child’s well being.

Emotions toolkit book

Toolkit for BIG Emotions

The Toolkit for BIG Emotions is a resource for parents and caregivers to initiate healthy conversations, increase a young person’s emotional vocabulary and awareness, and empower the young person with practical ways and physical tools to regulate their emotions.

The first version was called a “Survival Kit” and was created during the COVID shut-down, when families were at home together with limited access to support resources. We wanted to provide some hands-on tips and treats to help occupy kids and give families things that encouraged positive interactions. Over time, our kit evolved to included a written family guidebook in English and Spanish and parent training video.

Send us the names and addresses of families that could benefit from this resource and we’ll ship these valuable tools within 3 business days.

Revive and Thrive Family Support Initiative Access and Matching Funds

The Revive and Thrive Family Support Initiative was created to help families tackle the confusing landscape around mental health access. Almost every child in the foster and adoptive system has experienced some form of trauma. This program supports families holistically by building a funding coalition and expertise in navigating the mental health care system. Funds are currently available only to families that come to us through referral partners. Your membership in this program will allow you to become one of those partners. We will also set aside a certain amount of mental health matching funds for families you refer to us.

Throughout the year we hold a three-day virtual training to teach leaders how to present “Survival Skills for Healthy Christian Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Families.” At the Platinum level, you will have the opportunity to have two of your leaders participate in one of these workshops at no additional charge. This includes all adult curriculum materials and a three-year certification to teach. In most states this training qualifies for foster parent licensing hours and professional CEU’s.

FAQs

Can I change my plan throughout the year?

Yes, you can upgrade your plan at any time. However, because we allow you to utilize the benefits at any time we request you not downgrade until the end of your year.

Do Finally Home’s content/classes qualify for CEUs?
Yes. In every county where our program is currently used, private and government agencies accept it for foster and adoptive family continuing education credit.  Any time we engage in a new community, families or church leaders research the local requirements that will allow families to receive this benefit.  Finally Home will assist by providing research and curriculum information upon request.
Is the curriculum faith-based?
Yes. Finally Home is a national faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Our commitment to families is anchored in our faith in Christ. The strength of our curriculum is the fact that it is both scripture-based and research and evidence-based.  All of the principles we teach are confirmed by the Bible and affirmed by research.
What if we need additional access for our families?

Contact us if your needs are outside the plan listed above. We will absolutely work with you on a plan to get the materials and access you need for your families.
