Parents as Leaders
All families have their own ways of doing things, or “rules,” that define how family members work together. These informal rules explain how people talk to each other, how they get along, and who does what in a family. The rules are often passed down from one generation to another. Sometimes family members say these rules to each other, and sometimes they do not. But, who defines the rules of how the family will live together? Research shows that in a healthy family, the adults are in charge. The first job of parents, how to be a healthy leader.
Welcome to our 4-week virtual session of Map for Healthy Families. New videos will be released every Monday. Feel free to watch them ahead of our live sessions although we will watch them together during that time as well.
Live sessions take place on January 25, February 1, 8 & 15 at 7:00 PM MT.
